I'm trying to get rtems up (still). In looking at the instructions on this page, I notice they are way outdated.

It uses ftp urls for 4.6 ( and we are now in 4.8+ space ). I can try to just substitute but I think it might break ( or much worse, bend ).

If I knew the technical information I myself was looking for, I could fix the wiki page.

I've been told that we are dependent on sufficiently young Fedora and/or RHEL, but wiki doesn't say how recent it needs to be.

The examples are good for sparc ( for some value of sparc ) but it is not apparent what should be substituted if we are not hosting on sparc but x86 -- c=x86 ? c=intel ? c=386 ? c=686 ?

Are the real nitty-grittys someplace accessible ( that I or someone could put in the wiki ) ?

Article date

I now notice that the article page is almost a year without any changes.
